Covington - Lelia Hershberger, 90, died Tuesdayt July 13 1976, in Covington Manor Nursing Home where she had been a patient eight months. She was a resident of Fort Wayne for 70 years and a member of the Fort Wayne Methodist Church. Born April 2 1886 she was a daughter of George W. and Carolyn Schneider Crane. She m,arried Otho DeHaven Hershberger on Aug 201905. He died April 20 1963. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Mildred) Kromm of Hillsboro, a son Carroll of Fort Waynje; a sister Mrs. Bruce (Lottie) Moore of San Carlos, Calif; seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephes. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday in Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 andf 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. (thanks Betty D)

Mrs. Lelia E. Hershberger, 90, of Covington, died Tuesday, July 13, 1976 at Covington Manor Nursing Home. She had been a patient eight days. Born April 2, 1886, in Fountain County, she was the daughter of George W. and Carolyn Schneider Crane. She was married on Aug. 26, 1905, to Otho DeHaven Hershberger, who died April 20, 1953. She was a member of the Methodist Church of Fort Wayne. A resident of Fort Wayne 70 years, she had resided at Hillsboro with her daughter eight months. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Mildred) Kromm of Hillsboro; a son, Carroll of Fort Wayne, a sister, Mrs. Bruce (Lottie) Moore of San Carolos, Calif.; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery. – jlr
